Liability Waiver & Release

Sports training involves vigorous physical activity, physical contact with equipment and surfaces, travel to and from training locations, and other circumstances that carry inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to: sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, heat illness, overuse injuries, accidents, and in rare cases serious injury, permanent disability, or death.

I understand and voluntarily accept ALL risks associated with participation in coaching sessions and other SportsReps activities — both for myself (when I book a session for myself) and for my minor child/athlete, for whom I am legally authorized to make this acceptance. I acknowledge that these risks cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken, and that I have been advised to consult a physician before beginning any training program.

I acknowledge that SportsReps is a marketplace that connects families with independent coaches. Coaches are not employees, agents, or partners of SportsReps. Any training I or my athlete receives is provided solely by the coach I selected, at a location and time I agreed to.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I, for myself and on behalf of my spouse, family members, heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and my minor child/athlete, HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE SportsReps, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death that may be sustained by me or my athlete in connection with coaching sessions, events, or other activities arranged through the SportsReps platform.

This release covers claims arising from the ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE of SportsReps, including claims related to the screening, verification, or recommendation of coaches. It does not release claims arising from gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct, which cannot lawfully be waived.

I acknowledge that coach verification badges reflect a review of documents a coach has uploaded and are NOT a guarantee, endorsement, or warranty of any coach’s background, conduct, safety, or competence. I am solely responsible for evaluating and selecting the coaches I book.

In the event of an injury or medical emergency involving me or my athlete during a SportsReps-arranged activity, I authorize the coach, facility staff, or other adults present to obtain or provide reasonable emergency medical treatment, including calling emergency services, and I accept financial responsibility for any such treatment.

I confirm that I have disclosed (to the coach, in writing, before the session) any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or medications that could affect safe participation, and that I will keep this information current.

I am responsible for my athlete’s transportation to and from sessions, and for supervising my athlete before and after each session. Sessions are not childcare — a parent or guardian must be reachable at all times during a minor’s session.

SUPERVISION REQUIREMENT: I agree that I (or another responsible adult 18 years or older that I designate) will be PRESENT AT ALL TIMES during any in-person session involving my minor athlete. My athlete will never be left unsupervised, and will never be left alone with a coach or any other individual, at any time before, during, or after a session. If I choose to leave my athlete unsupervised — before, during, or after a session — I do so entirely at my own risk.

I further agree that SportsReps is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any injury, harm, or loss that occurs because I left my minor athlete unsupervised, because an adult I designated failed to remain present, or because I arranged any meeting, location, or supervision arrangement outside of what SportsReps provides. Responsibility for the direct supervision of minors rests solely with the parent or guardian.

I agree that my athlete will follow the coach’s instructions, wear appropriate and safe equipment, and refrain from participating while injured or unwell. I will immediately report any unsafe conduct, injury, or concern to SportsReps.

I have read the Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement, the Parent & Athlete Terms, and the Coach Agreement (including the Zero-Tolerance Child Safety Policy) available on this site, and I understand my rights and responsibilities under them.

I agree to INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS SportsReps, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by or through me, my athlete, or my family members arising out of or connected with my or my athlete’s participation in SportsReps activities or any breach of this waiver, except to the extent caused by SportsReps’ gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to the SportsReps platform, this waiver, or any activity arranged through it shall be resolved exclusively by BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION in Maricopa County, Arizona, administered under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, and governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.

I WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. Claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, and arbitration awards may not be consolidated with those of other users.

I agree that if any portion of this dispute resolution section is found unenforceable, the remainder shall still apply.

This waiver may only be changed in a written posting on the SportsReps platform. No oral representation, statement, or conduct by any coach or other user modifies it. This waiver is accepted electronically at the time of each booking, and my acceptance is recorded with a timestamp.

If any provision of this waiver is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
