Parent/Guardian & Athlete Terms and Video Consent

Effective date: September 4, 2026

1. What This Document Is

This page explains the terms for parents, guardians, and athletes using SportsReps, including important details about video consent. It is written in plain language so everyone can understand it.

By using SportsReps to book training or manage your athlete’s development, you accept these terms on your own behalf and on behalf of your athlete.

2. Your Role as Parent or Guardian

You are the account holder and the decision-maker. You create and control your athlete’s profile, approve all bookings, and manage all communication with coaches.

SportsReps is a marketplace: coaches, facilities, teams, and event organizers on the platform are independent third parties. We make discovery, booking, and payment easy — but you are responsible for choosing who your athlete works with, reviewing coach credentials, and deciding what is right for your family.

For in-person sessions, you or another responsible adult should use your judgment about supervision, locations, and safety for your child’s age and needs.

3. Bookings, Packages, and Payments

Sessions are booked directly with the coach and paid through the platform. Coaches set their own prices and cancellation terms, which are shown before you complete a booking.

Session packages are prepaid credits for use with one specific coach. They cannot be transferred to another coach.

If something goes wrong with a booking or payment, contact us and we will help resolve it with the coach.

4. Athlete Conduct and Safety

We want SportsReps to be a positive place for young athletes. Athletes and families should treat coaches, other families, and community members with respect. Harassment, bullying, or abusive behavior is not allowed and can result in account removal.

If you or your athlete ever feels unsafe or uncomfortable, stop the arrangement and report it to us immediately through the platform or by email. We take every report seriously, especially those involving minors.

5. Video Consent — What You Are Agreeing To

SportsReps lets you upload videos of your athlete so a coach can review their technique and provide feedback (for example, a swing or pitching video). Here is exactly what happens when you upload a video:

Who can see it: the video is stored in your account and is only shared with the coach you choose to review it. It is not shared with other users or posted publicly.

How it is used: the coach watches the video and writes feedback for you. The video exists to support your athlete’s development.

Our license: by uploading, you give SportsReps permission to store the video and display it to the coach you selected so the review can happen. This permission ends if you delete the video from your account.

Your control: you can delete a video at any time, and you can choose not to upload videos at all — video review is completely optional and not required to use any other feature.

6. Your Promise About the Video

When you upload a video, you confirm that: the video shows your own athlete (or an athlete whose parent/guardian has given you permission); you have the right to share it; and no one in the video is shown in a way that is inappropriate for a youth sports platform.

Do not upload videos of other people’s children without their parent’s consent.

7. Coach Content About Your Athlete

Coaches may write session notes and progress observations about your athlete. These notes are visible to you in your account and are never shared publicly or with other families.

8. Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw video consent at any time by deleting the video from your account or contacting us. We will remove it from active use. Keep in mind that a coach may have already completed a review, and we cannot unsend feedback you have already read.

9. Questions

If anything in this document is unclear, or if you want to ask about your athlete’s data or videos, contact us any time. We would rather answer questions than leave you guessing.
